Want to know more about Warners?
We love sharing about who Warners Midlands are and though we are sometimes mistaken for the holiday company we are proud of our unique story!
Still Family Owned
Warners is a fourth generation family owned specialist printer of Magazines, Catalogues, Brochures and Journals. We are still proudly based in Bourne Lincolnshire and have been since 1926. The family are still actively involved in the day to day running of the business and the core values set down upon our creation still hold true today.
- Warners should always be a great place to work at, for and with.
- We do everything the right way and take pride in doing so.
These principles form the core of what we do in all areas of the business from quality of service to our Environmental responisbilities. Many of our staff have been with the business for several decades and it is not unusual for several generations of other families to be working side by side. Thanks to our incredibly low staff turnover we provide a stability of service coupled with superb levels of knowledge, experience and professionalism that truly set us apart.
Where did it begin?
Our story started nearly 100 years ago when Warners was founded as a newsagent in Bourne by the late Lorenzo (Lorry) Warner in 1926. Soon there was shop in Stamford and a strong bond with our local community of Bourne which has only grown stronger.
As the business expanded, and Lorry’s son Michael, took the business into small-scale printing in the 1960’s. From this expansion the business steadily continued to grow, and in the 1970’s we moved from a small factory unit close to the town centre to our current home today, The Maltings. Since then we have gradually increased the site to its present size of 10 acres.
Michael’s son Philip took over as MD on the 1st September 1997 and has since modernized the business whilst still retaining the key values. Many generations of families have worked here, we have a culture and atmosphere that we are truely proud of. In recent years Philips sons Michael and Chris have joined the buisess after following in the family tradition of working in all areas of the company to truely understand the people and the process that makes Warners one of the leading names in the UK web printing industry.
Uniquely, in 1991 Warners Group Publications was created as a separate company under Michaels son Stephen. Whilst publishing their own titles they also offer publishing services such as distribution, subscription management and more!
